Baler Summer Adventure (March 27-31 2013)

This year, we spent our Holy Week in Baler, Aurora. It's our first time in Baler and Baler has not let us down.
We left our house at around 12 midnight. En route to Cabanatuan we were caught into a heavy traffic courtesy of two broken trucks with the right timing. We then changed our route, making our short way long. Ugh.
We then finally got to Cabanatuan. We stopped at Mcdo Cabanatuan for a very early breakfast. As you can see it is still very dark. Where else can you see a McDelivery trike huh? :)

Passing by Nueva Ecija
Funny is we somehow got lost in the mountains of Nueva Ecija. We went to a road where almost no one passes and ended up in the mountains. Literally, we were passing by the edge of the mountains. It is scary because the roads are rough, narrow and steep.

Look what the mountains did to our car, Predo. I wonder what my dad will feel. tsk
We happen to pass by a batis on the mountain and took the opportunity to stop by. It seems foreign to us but not. We just appreciate little things. :))

After almost 10 hours, we finally got to Baler :))

We super duper enjoyed the beach and its huge waves!
And of course, we did not miss the opportunity to surf! My cousins were very good at ako yung nakaluhod hahaha
We climbed a lot of steps of Ermita Hills which is not sulit. I swear!
More scenic Baler :>

We also went to Mother Falls. We seek Adventure.
It is my second time to visit a falls but this one's better and so worth it. The trekking was really difficult because you need to pass a lot of batis with really big rocks and running water. I was so scared to slip and fell on the rocks and water and break my back. Thankfully I have concerned cousins who helped and held me through.
Look at those happy faces. Mehehehe

My mother and I

At the falls itself!
Mother falls is really a one big happy place on Earth!

We also went to the house of Aurora Quezon but I can't seem to find a nice photo..

And for our last day, we went to Museo de Baler and Balete Tree
Spot Quezon! :))
We enjoyed posing in this wall as you can see yours truly :D
Miguel, my cousin, posing for this cute souvenir
The Famous Balete Tree
You can actually go inside the tree!

Going to Baler is super fun and super worth it. I hope I can travel the Philippines and the world with them plus my brother and dad who are always out of the country for work. Who doesn't love to travel, right? I hope I have blogged all my other adventures here before. I should just make a summary instead. Next time, then :)
